The Story Behind the Phone Light
Everyone has a rotary phone story.
For me, it was the black rotary phone in the basement of my grandparents’ house.
Every time we visited, I’d pick up that phone and dial the phone number for time and temperature.
I can still picture my grandmother sitting with that phone pressed to her ear.

Coming from a creative background, I started wondering:
What if these phones could have a second life?

After all, nearly every home once had one—and now, most sit forgotten.
One evening at the kitchen table, my husband and I decided to experiment.
Why not turn an old rotary phone into a lamp? The result?
Pure magic. We loved it so much, we made another. Then another.

Suddenly, we had one in every color. Like potato chips, you couldn’t have just one. Soon we were making them as gifts, and everyone loved them.
What started as a nostalgic experiment quickly turned into a way to share memories, light, and joy.
Now, each Retro Mod Phone Light carries not only a glow, but a story—of the past, the present, and the joy of creating something new from something old.
